Marc Carter
Marc is the Managing Director of Future Directions and began life in the world of financial advice in 1992 when he joined Allied Dunbar as a graduate trainee. Marc then continued with Zurich when the Allied Dunbar brand disappeared, then, in 2007 set up Future Directions Financial Services Ltd and began to offer Independent Financial Advice.

Megan Priestman
Megan began her finance and insurance career in South Africa after earning her undergraduate degree. She worked as a claims negotiator for the Durban City Council, then moved to a major insurance company. In 2002, she relocated to the UK and joined Future Directions, where she has held various roles. Megan qualified as a Mortgage Adviser and began advising in 2021.She finds the role both challenging and rewarding, and is passionate about helping clients make informed financial decisions.

Francesca Weeks
Francesca studied Bioveterinary Science at the Royal Veterinary College before starting a family and newborn photography business. Following on from covid, she joined Future Directions initially to help with administration. Having achieving the required exams she is now advising on mortgages as well as continuing to expand her knowledge.
She has expertise in particular niches such as NHS staff and self-employment but is not limited by this.

Shane Priestman
Shane’s journey with Future Directions began in 2007 after creating the firm’s first IT systems, which he grew into a fully functioning IT infrastructure with a secure VPN, making the transition to remote workingduring COVID seamless. Today, with IT now managed externally, Shane focuses his expertise on paraplanning. Over the years, he has supported both mortgage and financial advisers before specialising in investment, pensions and protection planning. With nearly 20 years at Future Directions, he brings a wealth of experience to the team and is well on his way to completing his Diploma inFinancial Planning.

Liz Hally
Liz joined us in May 2016. Liz provides much of the support for mortgage applications and relevant follow ups for Megan and Fran. She also provides support for Marc with provider follow ups and plays an important role in the office administration.

Lucy Wilkinson
Lucy joined Future Directions in February 2020 and plays a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the firm’s administrative operations. She provides dedicated support across protection, pension, and investment administration, assisting advisers with client applications and back-office processes to help maintain high standards of service and compliance.
